Pass the Book

How did it start?
I think I've got Sandi to thank for starting me off on this. Back in July she spotted the original idea on  the  Silver Pebble blog and I just loved it! It wasn't long before I was checking with the lovely Emma to see if she would mind me organising a book chain of my own, and she very kindly said she would be delighted. Thank you Emma!

Pass The Book is now concluded. Please get in touch if you have a book you'd like to return. If you'd like to run a Pass the Book, I'm happy to answer any questions and help out where I can. Thank you!

How does it work?
Well, I choose a book and post about it here on fromhighinthesky. If you would like a chance to receive it in the post, have a good old read and then pass it on, you leave a comment. After about a week I draw a name from a hat, announce it on the blog and post the book off to that first recipient. If you missed out, keep an eye out on her blog so that you can be in with a chance when she is finished and ready to pass it on.

What do I do if my name comes up?
Email me your address and wait for the book to arrive! Enjoy it, then create a post asking who would like it next. PLEASE do not feel you have to do a review of the book - that's not really what it's about. It's about sharing and making contact with the next person in the link. It's about getting inspiration from the book, that's the main thing! If you have time to make something or take a photo inspired by what you have read, that is wonderful - please share. If, when you receive the book you discover it's not really for you, have a think about who it would appeal to and write your post with them in mind. Pick out its good points, make it sound appealing! After about a week, draw a name, tell us and then post the book off with a nice postcard saying hello. Don't forget to refer your readers back to this page for all the information they need and please do let me know whose name you draw so that I can keep this page updated with the latest information. Thanks! Then sit back and wait for a chance to join in on the next new one.
